Life after the wedding

Wow, I have some major catching up to do. Tonight is our one-month anniversary of the best day of our lives. The wedding weekend was phenomenal and I can't believe how fast it came and went. I know it is so cliche, but I have never experienced anything like the time warp that was our wedding weekend. It seems like it was forever ago...actually it seems like it didn't even happen. I was explaining this to my friend on one of our runs - how it seemed so surreal, like it hasn't even happened yet, and I had some out of body experience, but she had some great insight. She said I went to this little place called euphoria, and that's exactly how it was - There's no better way to describe it. We just got a sneak peak of our wedding pictures and I have been reliving the moments as I look at them. Now that i have more time on my hands, I can get back to blogging and revealing some of my favorite wedding details.
We chose not to see each other before the wedding, and I am so glad we did. We had a little moment by a fence where we said hi and squeezed each other's hands, anxiously anticipating the ceremony in less than an hour. It was a really exhilarating moment, and I loved feeling the butterflies in my stomach as I could hear him approaching and I imagined how handsome he looked.

Our first dance was to a song called "hung the moon" by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. Actually, it is sung by Drew's wife, Ellie, and it has become such a special song to us. We asked our band Gosia and Ali to learn it and it was so beautiful and special. We practiced some moves, but when it came time to do it, we got caught up in the moment and I was a little nervous, so we didn't do anything fancy, but just enjoyed looking into each other's eyes as we swayed together.

I had Drew's ring engraved with the lyrics from the song "you hung the moon."
